A geofence is a virtual perimeter around a real-world location. Fleet managers can create geofences in the KeepTruckin Dashboard. The KeepTruckin ELD detects when a vehicle enters or exits a geofence.
Geofencing Coming Soon
KeepTruckin lets you automatically track when vehicles enter virtual perimeters with geofencing. Fleet managers receive instant notifications when their vehicles go into or leave a geofenced area, allowing for continuous fleet monitoring without having to stare at a screen.
- Get notifications when vehicles enter or leave geofenced locations.
- Pre-announce arrival to customers to minimize detention time.
- Track total time spent at a customer site for accurate billing.
- Reduce your driver's communication burden with automatic delivery confirmations.
How It Works
You can create a geofence by drawing a virtual perimeter on a map.
You can monitor vehicle activity when it is inside a geofence.
You can view reports on all activity inside geofences.
What is a geofence?
What information is tracked while a vehicle is in a geofence?
Entry time, exit time, total duration, total fuel consumed, and distance traveled.
What notification options are available?
Fleet managers can configure SMS or email notifications that alert selected recipients when a vehicle enters or exits a geofence.
What if a driver doesn't have cell service?
The KeepTruckin ELD will track the entry and exit times for geofences even without connection to the internet. As soon as the driver gets service again this data is presented in the KeepTruckin Dashboard.
